The weekend is here and it is going to be fun and beautiful one in Carteret County! Lots of activities to check out! Tomorrow, May 3, Is the Wooden Boat Show event by the Friends of the NC Maritime Museum. Located on Front Street in Beaufort, NC. It is the longest running wooden boat show in the Southeast! Stop by and check it out 10am-4pm! While in Beaufort check out the Olde Beaufort Farmers Market at Courthouse Square on Turner St. The market begins at 9am under the oaks! Local artisans, vegetables, delicious treats and lots of fun.
Also On Saturday at 707 Ann Street the Copeland and Bernauer Team will be hosting an open house! Come visit and explore the c1832 William Potter House which is currently on the market. Open House is from 12-2pm! Look for the balloons.
If you head to Morehead City go by the Curb Market at 1213 Evans Street. Farm fresh produce and crafts and within walking distance to downtown restaurants and shops! Also downtown Morehead at Jack’s Waterfront Bar the 2025 Derby Party will be happening at 3pm. This is a derby themed pub crawl! Tickets required.
Want to have some outdoor fun?? Go on a ferry to Cape Lookout or Shackleford Banks. Ferries run from Front Street in Beaufort and in Harkers Island. Walk the Beaufort waterfront and look for wild banker ponies and grab some ice cream at Beaufort Creamery on Front Street. Head to Atlantic Beach and play beach volleyball at one of the public courts! Check out the Mini Golf Course at the Town Park 915 W Fort Macon Road 10-6pm Saturday or Sunday!
Sunday 12-4pm head on down Highway 24 to Carolina Home & Garden for their Cinco de Mayo Garden Party!! 20+ booths set up. There will definitely be Margaritas!
